With a hearty laugh that was as infectious as her love for a good sale, Barbara Jean Ciulla, born on October 30, 1959, in Newton, MA, passed away on April 24, 2026. In her life, Barbara was a resilient woman with a witty sense of humor that endeared her to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her love for her family, pets, and the occasional crochet project made her a beacon of warmth in Winchendon, Massachusetts, where she called home.
Barbara's zest for life was only matched by her love for a good book, the beach, and her culinary prowess. Always the first to roll up her sleeves, she was a natural leader, giving 110% in any role that was thrown at her. She was loved and respected by her colleagues, and her resilience and dedication were an inspiration to all. A proud and active member of the Cornerstone Church, Barbara's faith was the cornerstone of her life, shining brightly in her loving, selfless actions.
Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Michael Ciulla; her children, Nicole (Tom) Parr and Derek Ciulla (Sam LeBlanc); her brothers, Arthur, Richard (Lorianne), Paul, and Allen (Deborah) Fryar; sister, Diane Landolfi; brother-in-law, Mario (Terry) Ciulla; and sisters-in-law, Maria Ciulla (DeeTrudel). Also cherishing her memory are her granddaughters, Isabella and Lenora Parr, and she is further survived by numerous family members, including nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom brought her great happiness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Fryar; parents-in-law, Salvatore (Gina - deceased) Ciulla; brothers, Dennis and Norman Fryar; sister, Patsy McLean; and brother-in-law, Anthony (Mamie - living) Ciulla.
Barbara's life was filled with joy, resilience, and a healthy dose of wit. Her memory will be cherished, her spirit celebrated, and her love will continue to inspire. We invite all who knew Barbara to share memories, photographs, and stories on her memorial page as we remember a life beautifully lived.
