WINCHENDON – Albert W. Elola, 81, of 452 Central Street, died peacefully Saturday evening, October 31st in Golden Living Center, Fitchburg.

 

He was born in Gardner on June 12, 1934, son of the late John and Bertha (Kurikka) Elola and had lived in Winchendon for 47 years.

 

Albert worked as a shipper for over 40 years at the former Nichols and Stone Furniture Company, Gardner.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and mostly enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Gardner.

 

He leaves his wife of 47 years, Rita M. (Rocheleau) Elola; two daughters, Brenda Casper and her husband Jerry of Gardner and Donna Nolette and her husband Chris of Winchendon; a sister, Alice Jarvenpaa of Westminster; four grandchildren, Jamie Tessitore, Ryan Casper, Kayla Nolette and Hannah Nolette; four great grandchildren, Jonathan Kelly, Rylie Casper, Taylor Tessitore and Mya Casper, as well as many nieces and nephews.  One brother and five sisters preceded him in death, Robert Elola, Edith Boucher, Kathy Mallett, Elaine Thomas, Elsie Sillanpaa and Judith.

 

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
