WINCHENDON – Dennis B. Wall, DMD, 53, of Westminster, MA, a prominent dentist in the town of Winchendon, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 6th at Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, NH.  His loving family was at his side.

Dennis was born in Norwood, MA on September 5, 1959, son of Beverly (Smith) Wall Cedrone of East Falmouth and the late William Wall.  In addition to his mother and stepfather, Phil Cedrone, he leaves his wife and soul mate of 23 years, Katharine E. “Kathy” (Laprise) Wall; two loving daughters Jessica L. Wall and Taylor S. Wall; a sister, Kimberly Dansby of Norwood and a niece Crystal Aharonian.  He leaves his mother-in-law Elizabeth Laprise and Katharine’s siblings and their families.  Spending time with his family was the greatest love of his life.  He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed good times and travel with many close friends and family.

Dennis was a graduate of Mansfield High School and St. Anselm College, where he received a degree in Chemistry.  In 1988, he received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.  He began his practice with the late Dr. Guy Corbosiero and practiced exclusively in Winchendon for the last 25 years.  He was an extremely kind, patient and professional dentist and was very devoted with his patients, who in turn loved and respected him dearly.  Dennis was a member of Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association and Wachusett District Society.

In addition to his wonderful family, Dennis was passionate about gardening around his residence and office, creating beautiful grounds for the enjoyment of others.  A sports enthusiast, Dennis played in a Thursday and Friday night Men’s Hockey League in Gardner and also enjoyed golf.  He was musically inclined and enjoyed playing his guitar.  Dennis also enjoyed the companionship of his dogs, Mitchell and Ozzie.  Though Dennis was taken from us too soon, he lived a full, well-balanced life, filled with integrity, love, devotion, and commitment and he will be greatly missed by all.

Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Thursday, July 11th from 4 to 8 P.M.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.

Kathy and Girls...I am shocked and saddened by the news of Dennis's untimely passing. Such a young man to leave us so soon. "Doc" was a wonderful dentist to my family and myself throughout the years. I'll never forget his kindness to my parents, especially as they aged. I am certain that I will miss our conversations about anything and everything at appointment time; we never lacked for interesting topics. May God grant all of you strength and peace in the coming days.

Dr. Wall, you were by far one of the most kind and caring doctors I ever had and ever will have. You were both respected and loved by many who you helped. I will never find another Dentist as kind, gentle, and caring as you. It was my honor to know you both as a Doctor and a person. All my love goes out to the Wall Family at this time of need. May God watch over you all, and rest assured Dennis is watching from above over you. The loss of Dr. Wall is a great lost to his family and loved ones, his patients, and the entire community. You were a class act Dr. Wall, and we all love you and will deeply miss you :-(

Words cannot express what a bright, thoughtful, and inspirational person Dr. Wall was. I was just looking at my mom's photo album where my preschool class had a tour of his dentist office--he was so excited and he even checked everyone's teeth that day.... I can't believe I still remember that! I was truly hoping my daughter would get to see him when it is time for her to see a dentist. He was a really great guy and very professional. My parents would even agree--though he did not accept our insurance, we always went to Dr. Wall because of his good character and professional attitude. I remember him saying, "Just because I may feel a certain way doesn't mean you have to rely on it. Go and get a second opinion. Gather all the knowledge you can before you make a decision for yourself." Probably some of the best advice I have ever received. I want to offer my condolences to his family--he will be missed.

This is so sad and unexpected! Dr. Wall was the best dentist I ever had. His care for his patients was outstanding. He never fell into the same old, same old dentist rut - he applied new techniques and technologies as they became available to ensure his patients had top quality care. Dear Wall Family,
Although we are fairly recent acquaintances, I was profoundly saddened to hear of Dennis' passing. In our office today we have talked of little else and our hearts are heavy thinking of the great loss you have suffered. Having had my father pass away a few years ago at a similar age, I can relate to the situation you now find yourself in. I was always impressed by Dr. Wall's professionalism and excellent care for his family of patients. When we treated patients from your office, they universally had wonderful things to say about him and I always felt comfortable knowing they were in good hands. I enjoyed getting to know Dennis on a personal level and admired his friendly and approachable personality. Please let me know if I can be of help in any way.

Dennis was a remarkable man, so kind, caring, considerate and professional. The word "Class" best describes him. He was so good to Merrily a couple of years ago, trying his hardest to get her teeth just perfect for her two daughters' weddings. Walking in to his office was like being welcomed and treated by family. It was a joy to know him. Everyone loved him. He will be greatly missed by his hundreds of patients, friends and by the Winchendon community.

I was so saddened to learn of Dr. Wall's passing. My children and I could not have asked for a better dentist or a better person to take care of us all these years. While always professional, Dr. Wall was also very personable, and I enjoyed our talks about family and hockey. Every visit to the dentist was like visiting friends. For as much time as we spend with our families, we also have our "work families", and my sympathies go out to Dr. Wall's girls, at home and at the office. Kathy, Jess & Taylor:
Any time I ever thought about Dennis it would be accompanied by a huge smile. Today, there are a few tears to go with it. I spent nearly every day with Dennis for the four years we studied at Tufts. Some of my fondest memories are of that time. Dennis always had a smile on his face and always found humor in every situation. I'd be working diligently on a patient and he would come over and look over my shoulder and say "That will never work," much to the dismay of the patient. The years have rolled by and we hadn't seen each other much, but I got to see Jess and Taylor grow from babies into beautiful young women in the Christmas cards that Kathy sent each year. From the conversations that I had with Dennis I knew that he loved his wife and daughters his profession and his life. He was truly a happy man, just as he was when we were students. I'll continue to smile every time I think of him. Please accept my condolenses.
Love,

He was such a beautiful young man. His smile was infectious. He always made you feel very comfortable as a patient. He was wonderful with my husband during his illness. He was the ONLY dentist that would even take me when I was new to this area (20 years ago). Always available in time of need.
